About Cindy
My mission as an Ace Certified Personal Trainer; Group Fitness Instructor; and Certified Functional Aging Specialist is to provide safe and effective tools that will empower my clients to take control of their health and wellness, ultimately improving their quality of life.  I work with a diverse group of clients in a manner that drives them to “want” to adhere to a program, which helps them enjoy their journey to longevity. I bring the equipment and work with clients in their homes.
Outside of training, I’m a wife to a Navy Veteran; mother of two sons who are active military; and grandmother to an amazing young man.  I know first-hand the struggles of balancing family, work, health, and recreation.
Inspiration
Twelve years ago, my youngest son was getting ready to leave for the military at the age of 18.  I was trying to prepare myself to let go, but it was an extremely difficult time for me. During this time, I met an incredible woman in the fitness industry who changed my life (Thank You Debbie H.).  She introduced me to an active lifestyle and the benefits that went along with it and showed me a side of myself I never knew existed.  She encouraged me to go for my first certification thirteen years ago and I have not looked back since!
With her as my mentor; trainer; and friend, I continued to expand on my own training and education.  She created an energy and space for her clients that was second to none for a learning environment.  I learned what it means to "make it about the client" and that as instructors, we only get a brief opportunity to make an impact. It is the instructor's responsibility to make each second count and to make the experience as positive as possible.  I also learned about the value of our individual energy, how to use it, and to honor ourselves.  After all, if we do not value ourselves, why would anyone else?

My Goals
While I want to continue to build my own personal training business, I also hope to help our government officials recognize the need to incorporate physical fitness in our social services. I have been very fortunate to become a part of a specific, non-profit community group that has trusted me to bring fitness into their environment.  I embrace every opportunity I can with them.  I strive to continue to learn and continue to work on being the best "ME" I can be to hopefully serve as an example and positive role model for others.  One of my most humbling experiences was having a client walk up to me after a training session and tell me "Cindy, you have found your purpose and calling.  Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."  I will forever be grateful for having the opportunity to hear those words.

We only get one body in this life...take care of it and honor it!
